Tourists are people who travel to or visit places for fun. They are important in any economy. Tourism is main industry that increasingly advanced services and bring huge benefits in the form of foreign exchange. Today, tourism is a source of national income and population in our countries. Tourism industry may also introduce Malaysia to the world. Foreign tourists are very important to our countries because it will be increased national income. Tourists need hotels to spend their time to rest, food to eat, things to buy, transport in which to move around and visit to another places. In 2000, 10.2 million tourists (including domestic tourists) were came to Malaysia that produces income of RM 20 billion and RM 17 billion including foreign exchange. This means that they spend a lot of money for all these things. This money helps the country which the tourists visit   our countries.

Malaysia is a beautiful tropical tourists destination and very potential in Asia. It can also attract international tourists or locals to travel in our countries. Potential of the tourism industry in this country can be realized if the all parties work together to develop the tourism industry. Furthermore, Malaysia is a country that is easily visited by the tourists who come to Malaysia. Malaysia is a affordable country for shopping and betters other countries like United Kingdom, South Korea, France, Singapore, Japan and so on especially for tourists who want to buy some souvenirs. There are many places in our countries can be visited by foreign tourists and locals such as Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Melaka City, Desaru, "Pulau Tioman" and so on. So tourists can go anywhere they want to visit. It will increase the numbers of tourists and increase our national income.

In some countries such as Thailand and Sri Lanka, tourism is one of a main source income for the countries. Many people in these countries can continue their life because of tourists. So, tourists are very important to any country. In addition, the private sectors should work together with the government to open centers of world-class vacation tourism. So we can compete with other countries in the world. The private sectors should build many of five-star hotels like Heritage Hotel and Hilton Hotel with a reasonable charge. The hotels must serve comfortable rooms to foreign tourists. It can attract tourists to come here again. For example, Hotel Seri Malaysia offer cheap packages with local traditional food had succeeded to increase the numbers of tourists. Not all tourists are rich, so there must be a wide variety of hotels that suit all budgets. They are also save their budget to stay in the hotels.

Next, we should not dismiss the role of schools and parents in promoting the tourism in Malaysia. Parents should teach and educate their children as well. This is because if their children were caught when they do crime or vandalism, parents especially will shy about their attitude. And worse, it will tarnish the image of our countries. Other than that, the schools should promote tourism in Malaysia. As such, the subject of Geography and History should be introduced by Geography and History teacher. These subjects will introduce to students in school about history in Malaysia, interesting places in Malaysia and so on. So, teachers can also promote to their students about tourism in our countries. Travel and recreation clubs can be organized in school to attract students to travel and visit interesting places in Malaysia. Teachers can also lead their students go to vacation out of country such as Bangkok, Seoul, Taipei and Paris. Therefore, the role of schools and parents are important to promote tourism in Malaysia.

Besides in Malaysia, there are many beautiful islands such as “Pulau Redang”, “Pulau Tioman”, “Pulau Kapas” and so on. It can attract many foreign tourists come to Malaysia to visit beautiful islands. There are many facilities in the area treated with care and always clean to visit among tourists. Tourists can dive in the area of coral reefs around in “Pulau Kapas”. “Pulau Kapas” has been recognized as one of the seven wonders in the world. To make sure those tourists can enjoy the natural beauty of the island, the government has been informed this area as a marine park. It can attract other tourists come here and will increase the government income. In other words, we should take care of tourist’s spots to avoid any pollution.

Now, tourists need tour guides. When tourists want to come to Malaysia, they need tour guides to take them to interest places. So, tour guides get to earn their living. Tour guides need train. They need to learn many languages such as English, Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean and so on. This is because they can communicate with foreign tourists easily. If tourists from England come to Malaysia, they will be easy to communicate with tour guides who can speak English very well. Even though, they need transport to take tourists around. They need to take them to restaurants and shopping centers. Tourists like to see places that are interesting. Most countries plan their tourism industry carefully to attract more and more tourists. This is the way it should be that the country becomes well known as a tourist destination. 

In conclusion, there are should be continued and do many campaign to attract more tourists that travel to our countries. This is very important for the development of the tourism in our countries. The government, the private sectors, the travel agency and the people are need to work together to introduce our countries in the world. They should be encouraged and facilities should be increased so that more and more tourists visit the country.
